We were invited by David Binstead to pop along to a relatively new bar, Fortune Favours, to catch up with some fellow Wellington podcasters last night - craft beer, podcasters, good laughs - hell yeah!
It was cracking to meet David (@david_binstead, twice podcast), Laura (@laurabkeown, B-Side Stories) and Chris (@ChrisDesmondnz, Uncomfortable Is OK), chew the fat about why we do what we do, how we do it and to share some tips and techniques. It was fascinating to hear about the differing editing styles that we all have, from the hours of editing some do to the, "record it as best as possible to avoid such work". Editing the episodes is definitely the hidden hard work / magic and we're so lucky to have both Raj and Alex doing such amazing jobs for us.
This was the first of, hopefully, more regular catch ups, guest appearing on each others shos and even a joint show. If you are keen to pop along, want to start your own podcast but don't know how, have questions, are an old hand or long time listener, first time caller then drop us a line and we'll make sure you're on the next invite list.
And remember - support your local podcasts by subscribing, sharing and letting them know you're out there!
